Dream Thief’s

“Bah Humbug!” So you are in the middle of this amazing dream where you are the hero/heroine and all the baddies have been dealt to and you are about to ride off into the sunset high on your victory and what happens? (((((ring))))) (((((ring))))) (((((ring))))) (((((ring))))) the phone rings and snaps you right out of it!

You are sipping a fruity drink that has a little umbrella perched on the edge of the glass, lying on a white sandy beach, palm trees gently swaying as the warm breeze slightly ruffles the pages of that book that you have finally got around to reading when ……… “Mummy, Daddy there’s a monster under my bed!”  And reality yells loudly in your ear!

The car dealer has just handed you the keys to your brand new red Ferrari and you drive sedately out the driveway, speeding up as you get to the open road on the way to your sprawling home that is situated on the beach front in the best suburb in your city when …….. “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas just like the…….” And yes you are awake, no it’s not Saturday and yes you have hit the snooze button three times already!

These are some of the “Dream Thief’s” that will steal away those amazing dreams that you have been having until all that is left is the vague feeling of something that you just can’t quite grasp, but you know it was good!

Breakfast

Notes for meeting at 9am collated

Kid’s dropped off at School
Dreams from night before written down

Can’t remember as you have been too busy making sure you have crossed everything else off on your list before you start the day and they have slipped away to a pleasant but distant memory of ….. “Wow that was an amazing dream...wonder what that was about…..wish I could remember!”

The ideal way to remember your dreams is to wake up s-l-o-w-l-y, without any harsh noises – reality says that is not going to happen, but you can take some time before you leap out of bed to face the day to simply recall what it is that you have dreamt about.  Dreams will always leave a residue, often this will be an emotion – happy, sad, exhilarated, fearful, angry etc.  If you can tune into what it is that you are feeling when you wake up, this will sometimes help you remember your dream.

Try and get eight hours sleep, again not always possible, but if you are well rested and get enough sleep you are likely to retain your dreams better.

Let your brain know that your dreams are valid, that they can have an impact in your daily life.  Did you know that it has been found that you actually have 3 brains – one in your head, one in your heart and one in your gut? So those sayings “Follow your heart”.  “I have a gut feeling.” etc would explain many things, but I digress from the main subject at hand, once you recognise that dreams can be used to bring direction, correction, provide answers to questions or problems, and bring fresh, creative ideas you will begin to pay more attention to them and retain them more easily.

Get into the habit of writing down your dreams in a journal, on your computer, in a note on your phone immediately upon awakening.  Include the details like colours, numbers, people, places, vehicles etc.  Just like getting fit, good habits build muscle and overall stamina. If you can write down your dreams regularly you will find it easier to remember the little details, therefore providing a clearer picture of the overall intention of the dream itself.

Once you have started to do these simple steps on a regular basis your dream recall will most likely improve, which takes you to the next step – interpreting your dreams!  That is where we at ‘Dreams’ can help you.  Christmas is just around the corner and the team at Dreams would like to wish you “Merry Christmas” and also to remind you that if you have any curly, recurring, or significant dreams that you are struggling to understand, please feel free to send them into www.dreams.org.nz and we will do our best to help you figure them out.

As we come to the end of the year we leave you with this quote by Ebenezer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol “I will start anew, I will make amends and I will make quite certain that the story ends on a note of hope, on a strong amen and I'll thank the world and remember when I was able to begin again!” Who knows just like Ebenezer Scrooge your dreams could transform the way you see things and bring happiness to you and those around you!  Sweet Dreams!

I Have a Dream Today!

I was born on August 28 1963 – yes I am telling you my age, but there is a reason behind this.  This was the same day as Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous speech.

Is this coincidental .... personally I don’t believe in coincidence .... I only found out last year the actual date of his speech and that had a profound impact on me.  I do believe that it is relevant to who I am and what I do!

“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."

Throughout his speech Martin Luther King Jr. repeated “I have a dream today!”  I believe that he could visibly see what the future held. His dream was firmly implanted in his spirit, he was painting a picture of what he had envisioned this world could be like and as he passionately shared his vision with the rest of the world they began to see it too!

Each of us have passions, areas in life that we care deeply about – most of these things have been inspired by other people in our lives, some of them even from people that we have never met.  Some have been inspired by the dreams we have at night (parables in the night seasons).

I have had several dreams that have been like pictures painted and imprinted in my spirit that have caused me to consider something that I had never previously thought about and as I have pondered them and began to understand the meaning of them for my life and then discovered how to apply them, many new doors have opened that are beyond the realms of ‘coincidence’.

How many of you have had dreams that have ignited a desire to  bring change on either a personal, national or even global level, create or invent something new that could transform your life and others, develop a business that will profit you and generate work for others.  Sometimes all you need is a 'dream today' to simply walk into the destiny that you were created for!

If you need help in interpreting some of your dreams that you know are important please feel free to drop us a line at www.dreams.org.nz and we will endeavour to help bring clarity and fresh vision so that you too can be an agent for change, whether it is simply just for you or for your community and beyond!

Spirit Vs Intellect

There are many wise and intelligent people on this planet now, and many that have gone before us.

There is an early historical record of where the ruler of Egypt had a dream that he could not understand but recognised that it was a spiritual dream and very important for the country he ruled.  This ruler was informed about a young man called Joseph that had been imprisoned that had the ability to interpret dreams, so he sent for him.  Joseph interpreted the dream purely from the counsel of the God that he worshipped and the ruler was able to act upon the interpretation which helped Egypt make it through a time of great famine and recession – a lot like we are going through now.  Joseph was of course released from prison and put into a position of leadership in Egypt second only to the governing ruler.

In yet another case we see Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babylon had a dream but did not know what the dream meant.  He had many wise counsellors and seers that he could go to but he knew that he had to have the truth, not just a wise sounding interpretation.  So to put his counsellors to the test he told them that they had to tell him the dream first and then the interpretation.  Of course his counsellors said “How can we tell you the interpretation until we know what the dream is about…tell us the dream first”, but because this King knew that it was paramount for his kingdom’s future to have the absolute truth, he stuck to his guns and was willing to put to death all his counsellors and seers if they got it wrong.

This King’s story has a great ending – there was a young man called Daniel that was trained in all aspects of dreams and visions and he too received His counsel from the God that he worshipped, and sought Him to find out not only what the King had dreamed but the interpretation too and then proceeded to tell the King what he had been shown.  The King knew that Daniel could not have known what his dream was about and therefore had access to a wisdom far greater than anyone else in the kingdom and received the interpretation.

Wisdom can be found in a man’s intellect and yes, you can have many wise counsellors, but there is a greater wisdom to be found and that is what I call ‘Spirit wisdom’ which comes out of relationship with Holy Spirit – not just simply believing and knowing about God or having a degree in theology – as there are many that have degrees in theology but don’t even know God, and I am not talking about religion, that is simply man’s ideas on who God or Spirit is, again not relationship with God.  Over the centuries many have exchanged the wisdom of the Creator for the wisdom of man – it is not evil, but it is not God!  Many say “But aren’t we all a part of Spirit and He a part of us?”  We are all made in the God’s image but not all of us actually can say that we really know and communicate with Him.

Holy Spirit will give you information in dreams, visions, mysteries, parables, and riddles, so you will come to Him to find out what it means.  You want information, He wants relationship and He will release that information to show you who He is and more often than not He will give you dreams that pertain to what you were created to do and your destiny.  You will recognise these dreams as being more than just processing the matters of the day and there will be an excitement inside yourself or in your spirit.  You may not even understand what the dream means, you just know it is important and a “spiritual dream” and you need to find the interpretation.

The benefits of hanging out with God are you get to know Him, how He thinks and you also get to have revelation of the ages to come, which means prophetic insight, receiving information about the future before it happens, and it all comes out of getting to know Him.

Dream symbol books are a great tool but they are not the be all and end all and sometimes Holy Spirit will mix up the symbols that you receive in dreams, just so you will seek Him out for the answers and not simply rely on your own understanding – to Him relationship is paramount and He wants to develop that with you.

If you feel that you have been in a place where you are struggling to be able to see or hear clearly, it is because Holy Spirit is inviting you to get to know Him more.  Maybe you have had dreams and visions for years, but have never really connected with Holy Spirit/God at all and you would like to know how to do this.  Feel free to drop us a line at www.dreams.org.nz and let us know we would love to talk with you and help you to get clarity on what God is saying to you.

We’re Going on a Treasure Hunt!

Our dreams provide clues to discovering buried or hidden treasure.

There are apparently over 7 billion people on this planet but did you know that you are unique, unlike any other person – with a certain personality type, particular skills and abilities, and areas that you are passionate about.  The reason for that is so that you can influence your world in a way that nobody else can!

Sometimes the thing or things that we were born to do will come out in our dreams. There are ideas that have not even entered into our minds that crop up in our dreams and some of them hint at or even s-c-r-e-a-m at us, endeavouring to direct us into the area/s that we are meant to be focusing on.

Dreams release you into another dimension, out of the physical, outside of the ‘usual’ realm of possibilities and into the realm of the impossible, but because of the particular mix that is ‘you’, this removes the impossible factor and makes it achievable.

A profound statement by Steve Jobs  the visionary behind Apple who passed away yesterday   ‘Don’t let the opinions of others drown out your own voice!’ shows that if we allow others to influence how we move forward in life, it can hinder us from recognising that our dreams can carry seeds, blueprints, or strategies that might just be the next step we are meant to take that propels us into our destiny.

Your dreams are filled with treasure.  If you need a hand digging, please feel free to contact us at www.dreams.org.nz and we will endeavour to help you reveal the amazing riches that are just waiting to be discovered.

Can Your Dreams Come True?

“Do you think that this dream is telling me about my future?” Is a very common question that I get asked.

I believe that a lot of dreams can show us things about ourselves.  I call these Self/Soul dreams and these can show us that we may need to attend to something in our life.  Often these ones are just purely processing daily situations, but even in these dreams we can find answers that we have been looking for.

Other dreams are more melancholic in nature, tend to be a bit frightening and/or dark and in some cases we know them to be an outright lie.  These ones are called Lying/Dark Dreams, just bin these ones!

Then there are those that show us that we can be more than we currently are and actually either highlight some latent ability in our life or introduce a new ability that upon awakening actually gets us to thinking…maybe we could do this thing and it spurs us into looking closer at the idea presented in the dream.  This is a True Dream and often these can be prophetic in nature.

Let’s look at the word ‘Prophetic’ so that we can understand what it means.

PROPHETIC (adjective)

The adjective PROPHETIC has 1 sense:

1. Foretelling events as if by supernatural intervention.

To be honest, sometimes it isn’t simple to recognise if a dream is prophetic or not, and often it isn’t until after something has occurred, that we remember that we actually had a dream regarding this.

So the proof is in the pudding? In the initial stages of learning how to interpret our dreams, probably yes!

Personally, what I have found is that something might be introduced to me in a dream that isn’t currently happening and to be honest is pretty much impossible except for supernatural intervention!  What happens then is that this idea actually seems really exciting to me when I think about it, and from that initial dream either a door will open up that I know is connected to what the dream was saying, or I will often get another dream, or a series of dreams that will add more information and even tell me how to proceed forward from what was initially just a spark of an idea from that first fleeting dream.

Get ready to receive dreams that will bypass your logic and rationale and scream "You can't do this!" but because they come by supernatural intervention they will plant a seed within you that will give you the impetus to step into the amazing adventures that are wrapped up in your destiny!

If you would like to find out if your Dreams can come true, please feel free to drop us a line at www.dreams.org.nz .  Don’t forget to give us a little information about yourself i.e. when you had the dream, what is going on in your life etc as this helps us to give you a more accurate interpretation.

Understanding Context and Decoding Symbols in Your Dreams

Our dreams are messages that we receive while in a peaceful and relaxed state as we sleep.  They are a little like Morse code, hieroglyphics or the Dead Sea Scrolls and they need to be decoded!  This takes a lot of practice, time and skill.  So often when we think about our dreams, we tend to want to interpret them from a literal perspective when in reality many of them are symbolic.

Some dreams may be short and sweet only containing one or two symbols, such as a vehicle or a house.  Other dreams can be populated with various people, all sorts of objects and animals that may actually mean something completely different when you dig a little deeper than what they literally represent on the surface.

It is very important not to just pick out the symbol meanings without looking at the entire context of the dream. Simply focusing primarily on the symbols and what they represent can be somewhat misleading thus preventing the dreamer from receiving insight, direction and even misunderstanding the whole purpose for the dream being communicated. The dream needs to be considered in its entirety.

Where and how do we start?
  1. Are you in the dream or simply observing?
  2. Who else is in the dream?
  3. Is the dream in colour or black and white?
  4. What are the significant symbols in the dream?
  5. Where was the dream set?
  6. What sort of emotion did you feel during the dream?
  7. What were the important things that stood out to you in the dream?
  8. What title would you give your dream? This can give you a good idea what the overall context is.
  9. Is there anything going on in your life that you recognise the dream may be speaking about?
These nine simple questions should start the ball rolling to help you begin to interpret your own dreams, but remember if you are struggling to find the interpretation keep asking questions and if you need help, please feel free to contact DREAMS at www.dreams.org.nz  for a personal Dream Interpretation.  If you want to gather a group of friends and make a day/night/party of it drop us an email and if you would like to book the Revelations Dream School please see http://extremepropheticnz.com/schools/dream-school-register.html   Don’t forget to let us know a little bit about yourself and your circumstances – as this helps in giving you an accurate interpretation.  Sweet Dreams all!

The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of

I dreamt I was sitting a test, naked, in my house, which didn’t really look like my house, my teeth were falling out, and I flew back to my ex-boyfriends place and drove my car into the sea while quoting nursery rhymes to my long dead grandmother.

Ever have dreams that seem to make no sense at all, in fact you are sure they are just tangled nonsensical nothings!  Indeed some of them are better off just staying on the pillow after you wake up, but some are worth digging deeper for the rich treasure that can be found hidden with just a little bit of time and effort.  Some of them can even change the direction you are heading or breathe fresh vision into the humdrum routine that your life can sometimes become.

The above dream may sound a little crazy, and I promise this one isn’t real, but these are some of the most common dreams that people have along with being chased, falling, snakes, spiders and bathroom dreams.

Having interpreted many, many dreams, I have found that the abovementioned crop up time and time again, and depending on the overall context have fairly similar meanings.

Everybody’s favourite are the flying dreams.  These dreams can sometimes seem so realistic and even upon waking you feel exhilarated, a great sense of freedom and able to conquer anything!  This is in fact often what they are saying.  These dreams can give you a sense of supernatural power and can show spiritual intuition that helps you to gain a new or higher perspective.  They can be showing you that you have great insight into things – a good overview of certain situations and an ability to be able to soar above difficult circumstances.  Flying dreams often free you up in reality to come up with creative ideas in all aspects of your life, personally and professionally.  They can begin to position you for the destiny you were created for and push you into reaching for the more, which may have previously seemed impossible.

If you or a friend have had some of these dreams and you are not sure exactly what they mean in your set of circumstances, please feel free to send them into www.dreams.org.nz and we will endeavour to help bring clarity and direction.

Dreams are Free, Understanding them is Priceless!

Did you know that it has been discovered that on average we can spend up to six years of our life dreaming?  Six years worth of dreams could add up to a lot of messages that if we choose to ignore, may mean we miss out on creative ideas that could affect our day to day life and our very future!

What if our dreams actually contain messages from another realm and can truly make a difference in the choices we make regarding our destiny?

Sure some of those dreams are definitely related to simply processing situations and things that occur in our lives, but as we have seen in the previous blogs, some of those dreams could contain creative ideas for new products or businesses and possibly solutions to problems we are currently dealing with.

How about that awkward scenario that has caused a broken relationship with a family member or a friend?  Could you possibly have strengths or talents that are yet to be discovered?  Pass off your dreams as merely processing and you may find yourself paying good money to a counsellor or a therapist that could have gone on those creative projects that you also ignored!

That new car you dreamt about the other night – could that be the vehicle that you need to propel you into making a shift into the career you’ve always secretly fantasised about?  What about the dream you had about your teeth falling out, are you possibly biting off more than you can chew, and maybe a little wisdom is needed to adjust your busy schedule?

Send your dreams into us at www.dreams.org.nz and don’t miss out on all the incredible opportunities that are just waiting to be unlocked by simply understanding what your dreams are saying!

Body, Soul & SPIRIT DREAMS

Over the last century we have been encouraged to view our dreams as simply dealing with our soul – which is our mind, will and emotions, chemical imbalances in our body, medicines, or natural bodily functions and desires.

I would like to suggest to you, that by and large the psychoanalysts and others of similar ilk have neglected another very important aspect to our dreams……….our spirit.

Personally, I believe that our spirit is the most important aspect of us.  It is what makes us who we are, and many of our dreams bypass our mind, which puts up barriers or filters related to our life experiences and the things that we have been taught and go directly to our spirit.

Why do some dreams go directly to our spirit?  Well, our minds are a little tricky at times, and we all tend to have blind spots in our lives, so that if the dream went via the pathway of our mind, it would probably be discarded or passed off as something we ate.

Our spirit is the eternal part of us, hence the journey for our spirit is not a short one, and our spirit is always learning and expanding, depending on what we feed it.

Often these dreams can be like a form of counselling without the exorbitant fees!  They are given to us to tweak things in our lives that we have hidden, ignored, or possibly justified.

If we allow them, some of the dreams we receive will actually feed our spirit, transform our minds, bring healing to our bodies, enable us to lead full and contented lives and propel us into our destiny!

Please feel free to send your dreams into www.dreams.org.nz and we will endeavour to help you do all the above!

DREAMS: Can Your Dreams Really Affect Your Daily Life?

Fact Number One:  We all dream
Fact Number Two:  Most of us ignore our dreams

Dream Interpretation has been considered a New Age practice belonging predominantly to the realm of psychics and psychoanalysts, and not applicable to the average person.

Have you had a dream recently or maybe in the past, that was so vivid, it stayed firmly implanted in your mind upon waking.  You know it was important, but because of the society that we live in today that has sprung out of the Greek mindset - which is more concerned with knowledge and applying the laws of science, you have simply discarded it and written it off as eating too much chocolate prior to going to bed?

Probably.  We have all done that.

If Frederich August Kekule von Stradonitz (1829-1896) had not fallen asleep and dreamt of 'atoms gamboling before his eyes' we would not have the scientific discovery of Molecules and the Benzene Structure.  Otto Loewi (1873-1961) would never have won the Nobel Prize for medicine in 1936 for his work on the chemical transmission of nerve impulses.  Madame C.J. Walker (1867-1919) would never have been the first female American self-made millionaire having dreamt of a product to cure a scalp infection. And where would we be without the numerous covers of 'Yesterday' penned by Paul McCartney who dreamt the tune the night before?

Interestingly there are a couple of scientists thrown into that mix.  Closer to home for my Kiwi (New Zealand) friends, Theophany speakers were discovered by Garth Murray in New Zealand.  Garth was originally an air traffic controller diagnosed with a serious case of septicemia, this caused many complications, one of those being that he spent long hours sleeping.  During that period of time he had an ongoing series of dreams where he was making speakers.  He noted down the details from the dreams and literally began to build them from the dimensions he had received while sleeping.

So, back to the title of this blog.  Can your dreams really affect your daily life?  What do you think?  Maybe from reading this you will be inspired to give your dreams more credence.  Hopefully you will at least begin to pay attention to them.

In the state of sleep where your filters from life experience aren't preventing you from shutting out what you receive, what if you are actually able to access a realm where you can transform your life or someone else's?  What if these dreams actually carry messages that could be applicable to finding solutions to situations in your own life?

www.dreams.org.nz  can help you get clarity in your current situation and even provide strategies for you to move forward in every area of your life.  Feel free to send in your dream and discover the exciting possibilities that your dream may hold!
